Premature Ejaculation
Premature Ejaculation, uncontrolled ejaculation either before or shortly after sexual penetration, is one of the most common male sexual conditions that probably affects most men at some point in their life. While premature ejaculation is a recognized medical condition its causes are still not entirely known. Psychological factors are thought to play a role. Hormonal problems, medication side effects, and inflammation can also be factors. New genetic research suggests that some men may be genetically predisposed to premature ejaculation.
Don't be fooled by claims of products that can cure premature ejaculation. There are no FDA approved treatments for Premature Ejaculation. Like ED, however, you can learn to manage, improve, and control your premature ejaculation. Visit us at Arizona Urology Specialists to discuss possible ways to improve this problem.
Retrograde Ejaculation
Retrograde ejaculation is when you ejaculate but because of certain conditions the ejaculate goes backwards into the bladder. This is not dangerous. It can be a common side effect from certain prostate medications. It can also be a permanent condition from certain prostate surgeries. If you’re having this from medication for your prostate please ask about other prostate treatments that don’t cause retrograde ejaculation. There are great options out there.
Inability to Ejaculate
Anejaculation or anorgasmia can be a side effect from medication or can be a neurological symptom of other diseases. Certain types of antidepressants are known to decrease a persons ability to ejaculate. Hormonal imbalance can also affect your ability to ejaculate. If this is a problem, please come in and see us.
